Photos from LGBT Pride, 2006
June 25th was San Francisco's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Parade. We had a fun, busy weekend taking Serafina to the Trans March, the Dyke March, and the main Parade and Festival. We forgot our camera all weekend, but thanks to some friends, new and old, we got these pictures. Here's Serafina "marching" in the parade, getting a ride on our friend Rita's shoulders: (Our friend Minne happened to find these photos posted online at Flickr )
Later we went to the festival in the Civic Center, and decided to go join the dancing. Serafina was inspired to see people dancing on the hood of a convertable car advertising for Gay.com. So we joined them, and she soon became the life of the party: (These photos were taken by a guy named Corin, who was taking pictures of us, and since we didn't have our camera, I asked for his e-mail address to get the photos. He also posted them on Flickr)
This last set was taken by my friend Nyk, whom we ran into on the lawn, and joined for a while to watch some performers on the main stage (and dance some more):
