Photos from July '06 - Camping and other Outings
On July 8th we accepted a last-minute invation from Alex and Madoc to go camping on Angel Island with them. Madoc is one of Serafina's classmates. Our trip started with a streetcar ride, where Serafina got to ring the bell:
Then we took a ferry boat to the island, and hiked to our campsite, which had fabulous views of the bridges and city, and fun large tree stumps for the kids to climb in:
In the morning, Serafina slept longer than the rest of us. We hiked back to the ferry in growing fog, and spotted deer on the way:
On the ferry ride back to the city, we got lots of fun shots, including Serafina's ballet show:
That night (July 9th) Geoff and I celebrated the 11th anniversary of our first date by staying at the Archbishop's Mansion B&B and going to a museum and show. (Our friends Karen and Tony took care of Serafina.) A very nice, busy weekend for all of us.
On July 14, Serafina and Madoc walked home from school together (with parents) and stopped by the fire house for a little fun. Then the next day, we went to Berkeley's tool and painting playground with Itai, Tali, Deb, and Sue:
