Photos from December '04 and January '05 - Santa Barbara to Puerto Vallarta
On December 22nd we were in the midst of a few fun days in Santa Barbara with Bob and Lexi and their kids Christopher and Daniel, who were visiting family there. The ocean was too cold for us adults, but Daniel and Serafina loved it! The hot tub was more comfortable for all of us.

After a fabulous New Year's in Puerto Vallarta with friends, we were playing at the beach on January 2nd. I
picked up Serafina and ran backwards to avoid a big wave, and lost my balance, landing on my butt. Then
after I got up, Serafina decided she liked the idea of sitting down. It was a beautiful sunset, so I
decided to join her. And we had a lovely few minutes together watching the colorful sky and sea. As we
left the beach that day, a Canadian guy named Luc, whom Geoff and I had met on our first trip to PV 3 years
before, came up to me and said he captured that scene with his camera. So thanks to Luc, I can share it
with you:

My mom visited us the week after we returned. Here are some fun pictures with her on January 7 and 10:

On January 15 we babysat Itai and Naftali while their moms (Deb and Sue) went to an afternoon performance.
Tali and Serafina really bonded:

On January 20 I decided to comb out Serafina's hair, and on February 10 I decided it was time to do
something with it. So I took her to an African American salon in the Fillmore District and a woman there
showed me how to put Serafina's hair in pony tails, which I think look very cute:
